La Salud en el Perú empeora cada día más: Confirman la muerte por rabia humana de cuatro niños nativos.
José Olivera Delgado, autoridad de Salud, confirmó el 12 de agosto del 2010 la muerte por rabia humana de cuatro niños de la etnia Aguaruna en la comunidad de Urakusa, ubicada en la margen derecha del río Marañón.
Este señor indicó a la prensa, que desde el año 2009 a la fecha se han reportado 15 muertes de personas, la mayoría de ellas menores de edad que fueron mordidos por el murciélago, que portan el virus de la rabia, desencadenando en la terrible rabia humana. Además, señaló que personal del sector Salud aplicarán acciones preventivas y de control.
El virus de la Rabia pertenece a la familia rhabdoviridae, género lyssavirus.
La rabia es una enfermedad aguda del sistema nervioso central (encefalomielitis) que una vez que aparecen los signos y síntomas de la enfermedad es mortal en menos de 10 días. Generalmente es transmitida por la mordedura de un animal rabioso: perro, murciélagos, gatos, etc.
¿Y ahora quién cuidará la salud de los peruanos?
